  • September 12, 2019 - Upcoming TIDE Downtime and Resetting AIR System Account Passwords for 2019-2020 School Year

    The Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) will be down for maintenance from Friday, September 13 through Sunday, September 22. TIDE will be inaccessible during this period of time. During this downtime please note the following access limitations:

    All Indiana assessment user account passwords will be reset for the 2019-2020 school year.Once TIDE goes live on September 23, you reset your password for the 2019-2020 school year. Please follow these steps:

    1.  Select from the assessment programs, and then from the user cards on the Indiana Assessment Portal.
    2. From the user page, select any available systems card.
    3. On the system login page, click on the link to "Request a new one for this school year."
    4. Enter the email address that is associated with your user account and click submit.
    5. An email (from AIRAST-DoNotReply@airast.org) which contains a clickable link, will be sent to the email address associated with your account.
    6. Click on the link. You will be directed to a page where you can enter a new password. The link will expire 15 minutes after you receive it; if you do not create your new password in 15 minutes you will need to request a new link.
    7. Follow the on-screen prompts to create a new password.

  • August 20, 2019 – AIR's Secure Browser and the Online Test Delivery System (TDS)

    This is a reminder to uninstall the previous year's Secure Browser from desktop and laptop devices (Mac, Linux, and Windows), and then install the latest version before August 31. The latest version of the Secure Browser became available for download on July 24 in the Secure Browsers portal page. As of August 31, desktop and laptop devices using the previous year's Secure Browser will not be able to access online operational, practice, or RIR tests. Refer to the Technology Guides within the Technology Resources folder for step-by-step instructions on uninstalling and reinstalling the Secure Browser.

    The TDS will be offline on Friday, August 30, beginning at 7:00 pm ET, with access resuming the following Monday morning, September 2.

  • An issue was discovered within Google Chrome’s previous operating software version that resulted with a “login shell.alert.login error” message for students attempting to sign into the AIRSecureTest app on Chromebooks. Google has included the fix for this issue in the latest Chrome OS version, Chrome OS 72.0.3626.117, and AIR is able to announce full support of this version with online testing as no other compatibility issues have been discovered. Many, if not most, Chrome OS devices should already be running on OS 72.0.3626.117, as it became available on Google’s stable channel on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. 
     
    As communicated in the Technology Setup for Online Testing Quick Guide and Additional Configurations and Troubleshooting Guide for Chrome OS resources, AIR recommends disabling Chrome OS auto-updates or limiting updates to a specific version used successfully before summative testing begins.

  • February 13, 2019 - Secure Browser access for Chrome and iOS restored

    AIR confirmed this morning that the Indiana Secure Browser for Chromebooks and iOS was unavailable to users that were accessing the secure browser for the first time on those devices. Users who had previously accessed the secure browser were able to take tests without issue. Access to the Indiana Secure Browser for new logins was restored as of 9:52 a.m. ET.

  • February 13, 2019 - AIR confirmed that the Secure Browser for Chromebooks and iOS is unavailable for when accessing for the first time.

    AIR is working diligently to restore access and anticipates resolution this morning. Current testing may continue on all other devices and on Chrome and iOS devices that have previously accessed the Secure Browser. Do not begin new test sessions on Chromebooks and iOS until further notification.  Please continue to monitor the Indiana Assessment Portal for additional updates.

    The Department and AIR will send a follow-up correspondence as soon as access is restored. An update will be provided within an hour if service has not yet been fully restored.
